Deeper and larger than most its neighbors, Elk Lake is a popular summer destination along the Cascade Lakes Highway. This sink lake is fed by springs that emerge from the lava flows below the surrounding conifer forest.

This map focuses on the lake itself, but subtle contour lines in the background give a sense of the topography of the surrounding landscape. Shading within the lake provides a simplified view of the water's depth throughout the lake.

The maps are printed on a smooth, deep-matte, non-reflective paper that looks great in any light. Mounted prints are set on a 1/8" Masonite board, giving them a rigid backing and making them ready to mount, hang, or frame out of the box.
