Lava Lakes wall map

Print size: 11 x 14 inches

Aptly named for the lava flows that formed them, the Lava Lakes are a popular summer destination along the Cascade Lakes Highway. Little Lava Lake has the added distinction of being the official headwaters of the Deschutes River, though the lake itself is fed by groundwater from higher elevation lakes and streams.

This map focuses on the lakes themselves, but subtle contour lines in the background give a sense of the topography of the surrounding landscape. Shading within the lakes provides a simplified view of the water's depth throughout the bodies of water.

The maps are printed on a smooth, deep-matte, non-reflective paper that looks great in any light. Mounted prints are set on a 1/8" Masonite board, giving them a rigid backing and making them ready to mount, hang, or frame out of the box.

Note: this map should never be used for navigational purposes.
