It’s not the highest peak in the Smokies, but it’s one of the grandest mountains in all of Southern Appalachians. Rising well over a mile above Gatlinburg, Le Conte’s summit requires steep hiking to access. High Top, the mountain’s true peak, is wrapped in a forest of spruce and fir, but Myrtle Point and Cliff Top offer wide open Smoky Mountain views from their lofty perches.
This view, looking at the mountain from the north, provides a grand panorama of Le Conte and its neighbors, including the popular day-hike destinations of Charlies Bunion and the Smokies’ high point: Clingmans Dome.
The print comes on a smooth, deep-matte, non-reflective paper that looks great in any light. Mounted prints are set on a 2 mm Styrene with a hanging bracket, giving them a rigid, smooth, plastic backing and making them ready to mount, hang, or frame right away.
